You find an old, dusty cartridge labeled "Property of AppSir Games" in your attic. The sight of the cartridge triggers a sharp, painful memory. Despite the warnings scrawled on the back, you decide to play it.
You find yourself at the start of the level. The area is thick with fog, and you can barely see ahead. A coin glimmers nearby.
You ventured forward and encountered a small pit blocking your path, leaving you with an unsettling feeling.
You bravely leap, navigating through the air with skill.
You land safely. The path is clear but the graphics are now eerie, and the atmosphere is unsettling. There is a coin nearby.
As you jump over the pit, you catch a glimpse of a smiling white creature at the bottom of the pit. You land safely.
As you advance, you notice a long series of crimson spikes ahead.
You jumped over the spikes, narrowly avoiding death.
The spring hurls you over the spikes, successfully clearing the obstacle.
As you make progress, a terrifying entity appears, and the screen starts glitching. You feel uneasy.
The entity speaks in a distorted voice:
"You're with them, aren't you? This is your fault!"
You ran. Suddenly, a blood-curdling scream echoes behind you; you see the entity crawling unnaturally fast, its huge claws swiping your character.
You stay, but the glitches make it hard to see. Suddenly, the entity reappears filling the entire screen.
The entity's appearance is horrifying. You realize it's the same figure that has been haunting this game since the beginning.
The entity reveals the truth: The institute you work for is responsible for their demise. She was brainwashed, and now trapped in the game because of them.
You walk away and eventually encounter an AI assistaned named AIRI. It offers to guide you through the level, but you feel uncertain about its intentions.
You empathize with her, apologizing for the institute’s actions, and she forgives you. Though not directly involved, you know an apology is owed. The game resets, and you are free to play again.
Technically, you weren't even born yet when her transference took place. You deny responsibility, and the game crashes. You are left with guilt.
You ran. Suddenly, a blood-curdling scream echoes behind you; you see the entity crawling unnaturally fast, its huge claws swiping your character.
You decided to follow the AI. It guided you to the end, but the unsettling feeling remains. Perhaps you missed something important...
You find yourself getting lost in the game. The world becomes increasingly hostile, with corrupted enemies and deadly traps. A smiling creature devours the character.
You collected a coin, but unfortunately, the developer neglected to fix a bug in the game that makes the player character explode when collecting coins.
You attempt to jump over the spikes, but your leap falls short and you fall on the spikes. If only you could double jump.
Unfortunately, the spring launched you too high up and you get sliced by red saw blades on the ceiling.
